Accurate, Highly-Mobile Laser Beam Measurements Improve Quality Assurance at Opel's International Technical Development Centre (ITEZ). The ITEZ is on the leading edge when it comes to industrial measurement technology –
thanks to a new mobile laser tracker system, workers at Rüsselsheim, Germany can perform precise measurements of complete welding facilities,
without moving the heavy-duty equipment an inch.

| The ITEZ central quality assurance centre (ZQS) plays an indispensable role in ensuring production standards at all Opel's main manufacturing facilities. Lutz-Henning Steinbrecher, who is responsible for measurement equipment procuring and training at ITEZ, explains why: “As a central department, it is important for us to ensure that we are always on the leading edge in technical terms. That is the only way we can develop constantly and guarantee the provision of high-level services to other departments within the enterprise.”
